Dan Lee is a seasoned Public Affairs Specialist with a focus on social media communications, currently serving at both the United States Department of Defense and the Defense Media Activity since July 2019. Lee has previously held similar roles at the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and the U.S. Department of Commerce, specializing in export compliance. Lee's extensive experience also includes work in congressional and media relations at The National Bureau of Asian Research, as well as research and writing at The Heritage Foundation's Asian Studies Center. Prior to these roles, Lee served as an Executive Assistant at Edelman and an Assistant Campaign Manager for a state assembly campaign. Lee's military background includes service in the United States Marine Corps as a linguist.
