Tara Spidle began their work experience in 1992 at Wayne County Hospital, starting as a part-time switchboard and admissions clerk. Tara later worked their way up to insurance billing and gained extensive knowledge in Medicare billing processes and regulations. In 1998, Tara joined Decatur County Hospital as the Business Office Director. During their time there, they implemented processes to cross-train employees and successfully reduced the number of full-time employees. Tara currently holds the position of CFO at Decatur County Hospital, where they have significantly improved the accounts receivable days.

Tara Spidle's education history includes attending Northwest Missouri State University from 1992 to 1995, where they obtained a 2-year certification in Office Information Systems with a focus on Business. Tara later attended the same university from 2008 to 2010, earning a Bachelor's of Science degree in Business Management. In addition to their formal education, Tara has obtained a certification called CHFP from HFMA, although the specific month and year of obtaining this certification are not provided.
