Michael Juby has a long and varied work history. Michael began their career in 2000 as an intern for the NC State Student Aid Association. In 2001, they became a teacher at Harnett Central High School. In 2005, they moved to Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP as a partner. In 2016, they became the Managing Director of First Tryon Advisors. Most recently, in 2021, they took on the role of Head of Business Development at DebtBook, a B2B SaaS company building powerful debt and lease management software.

Michael Juby graduated from North Carolina State University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Economics. Michael then attended the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill School of Law, graduating with a Juris Doctor in 2005.
