Jeremy Blackman is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in higher education and advocacy. Currently serving as the Senior Advisor for Strategic Communications at Deakin University since September 2019, Jeremy excels in developing and implementing strategic communication programs, managing corporate documentation, and providing speechwriting services for senior leadership. Prior to this role, Jeremy worked at Monash University as a Communications Advisor, focusing on speechwriting and communications strategies. Jeremy also has a rich background in the music industry as a freelance violinist and held a previous role at the Alannah & Madeline Foundation as Senior Advisor for Advocacy and Cybersafety, where notable projects included partnerships with major organizations and engagement in national and international conferences. Jeremy's educational background includes a Graduate Diploma in Education from the University of Melbourne and a BA in English Literature and Sociology from Federation University Australia.
