Ashim Debnath is an accomplished academic in the field of civil and environmental engineering, currently serving as the Head of Discipline and an Associate Professor of Transportation Engineering at Deakin University since January 2019. Prior to this role, Ashim was a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer and Research & Consultancy Coordinator at Victoria University from 2017 to 2018, and held a position focused on Transportation Engineering and Safety at Queensland University of Technology from 2012 to 2017. Additionally, Ashim worked as a Research Fellow at the National University of Singapore in 2010-2011. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Transportation Engineering from the National University of Singapore (2005-2009) and a BSc in Civil Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (2000-2005).
