Maria Giovanna Calloni is the Chief Investment Officer of Tuctos, a holding company with minority stakes in renewables, fintech, and technology companies. She also actively provides financial advisory services - focusing on capital raising and M&A processes - to portfolio companies. Currently, Ms. Calloni serves on the board of directors of two public companies: Philogen (PHIL:IM, biotechnology) and Pininfarina (PINF:IM, automotive and industrial design). Recently, she served as an independent member of the Board of Directors of CreVal (bank acquired in a take-private transaction by Crédit Agricole) and CAD IT (fintech, acquired by Cedacri/Ion Capital Group) and as executive board member of Deus Technology (fintech, acquired by Engineering and Bain Capital/Neuberger Berman). Before founding Tuctos, Ms. Calloni was a financial advisor for Kelos, an advisory boutique serving public European companies. During her tenure at Kelos, she also acted as Interim CFO for IPI – the real estate arm of FIAT Group. Before relocating to Italy, she worked with the investment bank Merrill Lynch in New York for over 10 years, initially as an Associate in Investment Banking and later as a Director in Equity Capital Markets, where she coordinated and executed over 120 lead-managed and joint-books transactions that raised over $20 billion of equity commitments from institutional investors. Before then, she was a business analyst at Memorex Telex in Milan and London. Ms. Calloni holds a B.A. summa cum laude from Bocconi University and an M.B.A. with honors from Leonard Stern School of Business, New York University.
