Pieter Elshout is the Directeur and uitgever at De Groene Amsterdammer since June 2014 and serves as the Directeur and mede-initiatiefnemer for Investico, a platform for investigative journalism established in 2016. Previously, Pieter held various positions at FD Mediagroep from 1996 to May 2014, including Adjunct-hoofdredacteur and correspondent in London, playing a key role in launching the paid FD.nl website in 2011 and developing new editorial concepts. Additionally, Pieter was the voorzitter and mede-initiatiefnemer at Stichting Masterclasses Financiële Journalistiek until April 2014 and provided belastingadvies at KPMG Meijburg & Co in 1994-1995. Education includes a mr in Law and a drs in Economics from the University of Amsterdam.
