Lian Van Poortvliet is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in environmental law and contract negotiation. Currently serving as a Jurist a.i. at DCMR Milieudienst Rijnmond since May 2017, Lian also operates as a Jurist for LVP Legal since September 2014 and as a Contract Lawyer a.i. for De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek since February 2014. Prior experience includes a role as advocaat Ruimte en Milieu at Pels Rijcken & Droogleever Fortuyn from January 1998 to May 2013 and as advocaat at Buruma Maris Scheer Van Solkema (now Houthoff Buruma) from November 1992 to January 1998. Lian holds degrees in Nederlands recht and Duitse taal en letterkunde from Leiden University, where studies were completed between 1986 and 1992.
