Rafał Kowalski, PhD, currently serves as the Head of Cloud for DBS Big Data, AI and Analytics at DBS Bank since September 2020, having previously held roles as Technical Lead. Prior experience includes positions as Cloud Solution Architect and Senior Software Engineer at Grape Up from February 2017 to December 2019, and as a Java Senior Developer at Codibly from August 2015 to January 2017, where significant work involved transitioning systems to microservice architecture. Earlier in the career, Rafał Kowalski worked as a Java Developer at Softhis from February 2012 to March 2015, focusing on back-end design and implementation using various Java frameworks. An internship at the Institute of Nuclear Physics Polish Academy of Sciences in 2014 involved designing agent-based models of financial markets. Rafał Kowalski earned a Ph.D. in Physics from the Institute of Nuclear Physics Polish Academy of Sciences (2015-2019), a Master's in Technical Physics from AGH University of Krakow (2014-2015), and a Bachelor's in Technical Physics from AGH University of Krakow (2009-2014).
