Rashid Islam is currently serving as Privacy Partner Principal at Dayforce since June 2023. Previously, Rashid held the position of Charter Member at TechGC from June 2021 to May 2024, a community focused on sharing best practices in legal governance. At Bold Commerce, from January 2019 to June 2023, Rashid was the Data Protection Officer and Director of Governance & Compliance, overseeing privacy, governance, and compliance operations, with a focus on regulatory compliance and board governance. Rashid also served as Vice President of Investor Relations at HD-Petroleum from November 2012 to December 2018, where responsibilities included managing investor relations and leading equity capital raises. Earlier in the career, Rashid worked as a Lawyer at GSC Solicitors LLP and Salans, advising on a range of legal matters, including corporate and intellectual property transactions. Rashid holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from The University of Winnipeg and various legal qualifications from esteemed institutions, including the College of Law and the University of Westminster.
