Anne also has experience as an External Lecturer at the University of Copenhagen, where they taught medical students about the organization and structure of the Danish healthcare system, public health politics, and economy.

Earlier in their career, they worked as a Consultant at KL, where they were responsible for political affairs and strategies in public health promotion and prevention, antenatal care and child health, dental care, as well as rehabilitation and palliation within cancer care. Anne Hagen also served as a Student Assistant at KL.

Additionally, Anne worked as a Youth Guide at Komiteen for Sundhedsoplysning and an External Supervisor at Syddansk Universitet. Anne Hagen also completed an internship at Mbulu District Hospital.
