Tony Ruiter has a strong background in software development and engineering. Tony is currently working as a Software Engineer at Dawn Aerospace since March 2023. Prior to their current role, they worked as a C++/Qt Developer for their own company, Tony Ruiter, Sole Trader, from August 2020 to March 2023. Before that, they were a Software Team Lead at Enatel Energy from January 2011 to July 2020. Tony also worked as a Firmware Developer at AEC Electronics Ltd from March 2006 to December 2010. Tony started their career as a Workshop Technician at QTech Data Systems from March 2003 to November 2005 and gained experience in telemetry/PLC equipment and software configuration, firmware and windows software development, and customer support. Tony's initial experience in the field was as a Technical Intern at Telstra Clear from November 2002 to March 2003.

Tony Ruiter completed their Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Physics from the University of Canterbury, where they studied from 1997 to 1999. Afterwards, they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering Technology degree in Electrical Engineering at the Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology from 2000 to 2002.
