Luana Darby

Utah State Registrar at Daughters of the American Revolution

Luana Darby is an experienced genealogist and librarian, currently serving as the Utah State Registrar at the Daughters of the American Revolution since July 2022. Luana holds multiple roles in the field of genealogy, including being an Accredited Genealogist and a member of the Board of Commissioners for the International Commission for the Accreditation of Professional Genealogists since February 2017. Luana founded Lineages by Luana in 1995, offering genealogical research and consulting services focused on the U.S., Canada, and continental Europe, and co-founded American Patriots & Pioneers Research Services in July 2013. Luana has also held significant positions within professional organizations, such as serving as the 2020 Conference Chair for the National Genealogical Society and as a director for the Genealogical Speakers Guild. Luana’s educational background includes a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from San Jose State University and a BA in Family History from Brigham Young University.
