Eduardo Yanes is an experienced materials scientist currently serving as the Manager of Material Development at Datwyler Group, focusing on elastomer compounds for General Industry and Mobility applications. Previously, Eduardo held positions as a PhD student and Research Associate at Queen Mary University of London, where significant contributions included the design of experimental setups for dynamic seals friction testing and the characterization of rubber wear in tyres. Additional research experience includes a role at the University of Surrey, examining rubber friction in motorsports. Eduardo’s earlier career with Schlumberger encompassed various engineering positions, including Senior Field Engineer, where responsibilities included managing field operations and crew development. Eduardo holds a PhD in Materials Science from Queen Mary University of London, an MSc in Biomaterials from The University of Manchester, and an Engineer's degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Universidad Central de Venezuela.
