Jim Grace has a diverse work experience starting in 2007 when they became a Partner and Chair of the Texas Government Relations section at Baker Botts. Jim then served as a Lieutenant in the US Navy Reserve from 2007 to 2015. In 2014, they joined Greenberg Traurig, LLP as a Shareholder until 2016. In the same year, Jim became the Managing Shareholder of Grace & McEwan Consulting, LLC, a government relations consulting firm which they co-founded. Currently, they serve as the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Datum Tech, a data and mobile advertising company.

Jim Grace completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in History at the University of Notre Dame from 1985 to 1989. Jim later pursued a Juris Doctor degree, graduating cum laude, from the University of Houston Law Center from 1989 to 1992.
