Mick Semb Wever is a highly experienced software engineer and open-source contributor with extensive expertise in Apache Cassandra, having served as a Foundation Member, PMC, Committer, and VP at The Apache Software Foundation since 2010. Currently, Mick is involved with DataStax in product strategy and engineering for Apache Cassandra, following a successful tenure providing consulting services for the same technology at The Last Pickle. Previous roles include recognition as a DataStax MVP for Apache Cassandra and a senior software engineer at FINN.no, where Mick contributed to the development of a microservices platform. Mick's technical career began with roles at Schibsted Søk AS, De norske Bokklubbene, and the NetBeans governance board, supported by a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Physics from the University of Wollongong.
