Hennessey Herrera has a diverse work experience starting from 2016 at the Office of Texas Governor Greg Abbott where they served as a Criminal Justice Intern. In 2018, they worked as a Research Affiliate at Innovations for Peace and Development and simultaneously held the role of Product Manager at Spectrogram. They then interned as a Service-Learning Intern at International Studies Abroad (ISA) in 2019. Later that year, they served as an OSINT Analyst Intern at the American Enterprise Institute. In 2020, they worked as a Threat Analyst at Red Five, and currently, in 2021, they hold the position of Customer Success, DOD at Dataminr.
Hennessey Herrera earned a Bachelor's degree in International Relations with a minor in Arabic from The University of Texas at Austin, where they studied from 2016 to 2019. During their time at the university, Hennessey also participated in a study abroad program at Tel Aviv University in 2018, focusing on Middle Eastern Conflict Studies. Apart from their formal education, Hennessey has obtained several certifications, including "Foundations of Cybersecurity" and "Manage Security Risks" from Google in August 2023, "Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)" from Scrum Alliance in December 2022, "Project Planning and Management" from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business in November 2020, and "Golang Programming Fundamentals" from UC Irvine in May 2020.
