Brian Leist is a Senior Data Scientist at Data Society since January 2025, following a similar role at LineVision from July 2019 to January 2025. Prior to their data science career, Brian served as an R&D Scientist and as a high school science and math teacher at Walden School in Louisville, KY from August 2017 to May 2019. Brian's academic background includes a Master of Science in Physics and Astronomy and a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Astronomy from the University of Louisville, where Brian also worked as a researcher focused on characterizing galaxies at moderate redshifts and served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. Brian's early experience includes an educator position at Gheens Science Hall and Rauch Planetarium, providing educational presentations and programs for students of various grade levels.
