Harry Yip has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Harry began their career as a Senior Auditor at CohnReznick LLP in 2007. After that, they joined Standard Chartered Bank and held various positions such as Investment Strategist, Rates Trader, and Business Development Manager. At Standard Chartered Bank, they launched the AMEX WorldMiles Card and pioneered an Apple Patent on Retail Payments.
In 2016, Harry joined MioTech as a Vice President and Founding Member, where they played a crucial role in growing the AI company to Series A. Harry was responsible for building product prototypes, developing data logic and integration, managing agile processes, and closing deals with clients. Harry also obtained the SFC Type 1 license for the company.
Following their time at MioTech, Harry served as an Advisor and CFO at Aigens, an expanding company. Currently, they are working as the Chief Financial Officer at Dash Living, the #1 Serviced Living Community in Asia. Their role at Dash Living involves creating a global accommodation community for urban professionals through sharing economies and tech.
In addition to their corporate roles, Harry is also a Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Playmaker Ventures, a U.S.-based venture capital firm specializing in investments in seed-stage companies in Southeast Asia.
Harry Yip completed their education at the USC Marshall School of Business. From 2004 to 2006, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Following this, from 2006 to 2007, they earned a Master of Arts degree, also in Accounting, from the same institution. In addition to their formal education, Harry Yip obtained certification in Customer Analytics from Coursera in February 2020.
