Laura Barrett is an accomplished library professional with extensive experience in academic settings. Currently serving as the Head of Teaching and Learning at Dartmouth College Library since June 2008, Laura Barrett focuses on enhancing the teaching capabilities of library staff and fostering the integration of library resources into the academic community at Dartmouth. Previous roles include serving as the Undergraduate Services Librarian and Psychology Librarian at the University of Washington, as well as the Mass Communications and Technology Librarian at the University of Washington Bothell. Laura Barrett also held positions at the University of Michigan as a Special Collections Assistant and University Library Associate. Academic qualifications include a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies from Dartmouth College, a Master of Science in Information from the University of Michigan, a Film Production Certificate from New York University, and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Boston University.
