Director, Fellowship In Wilderness And Austere Medicine at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and Clinics

Nicholas Daniel, DO DiMM FAWM FAAEM has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Currently, they hold multiple positions at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and Clinics, including Director of the Fellowship in Wilderness and Austere Medicine and Emergency Physician. Nicholas is also an Associate Director of the Fellowship in Wilderness and Austere Medicine. In 2020, they became an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. Prior to that, they served as an Assistant Professor at University of Massachusetts Medical School and Tufts University School of Medicine, where they also held the role of Adjunct Professor and Clinical Associate. From 2014 to 2020, they worked as an Emergency Physician and Associate Director of the Wilderness Medicine Fellowship at Baystate Health. Nicholas gained experience as a Wilderness Medicine Fellow at Baystate Medical Center from 2014 to 2015. Additionally, they served as a Resident Physician at University of Nebraska Medical Center from 2011 to 2014.

Nicholas Daniel, DO DiMM FAWM FAAEM received their Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Des Moines University in the years 2007-2011. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from the University of St. Thomas. In addition to their degrees, they hold several certifications including Fellow of the Academy of Wilderness Medicine from the Wilderness Medical Society, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association, Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) from the American College of Surgeons, and Advanced Wilderness Life Support (AWLS) - Instructor from the Wilderness Medical Society. Nicholas also received a Diploma in Mountain Medicine from The University of New Mexico and has Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association.
