Steven Wrinch has a diverse and extensive work experience in the technology and gaming industry. Steven began their career in 2002 at Electronic Arts as a Software Engineer II, specializing in animation for popular games such as FIFA and NBA Live. Steven created an animation system that was widely used and served as a template for future development at EA.
In 2005, Wrinch joined Propaganda Games as a Lead Software Engineer and Animation Specialist. Steven built advanced animation tools and implemented powered ragdoll systems for games like Turok. Steven also served as a Technical Lead and Software Architect for Pirates of the Caribbean: Armada of the Damned, where they were responsible for the engine's architecture and technical direction.
Wrinch then moved to United Front Games in 2011, where they held various roles as a Technical Director and Cloud Architect. Steven led teams in developing back-end systems for games like Smash+Grab and Triad Wars, and created a game data authoring system for real-time game tuning.
Since 2016, Wrinch has been working at DarkVision Technologies Inc. as the Director of Software Engineering. Their responsibilities include growing and managing the software team, as well as developing database infrastructure and libraries.
Throughout their career, Wrinch has demonstrated strong technical and leadership skills, contributing to the success of several high-profile projects in the gaming industry.
Steven Wrinch completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Victoria, with a five-year duration from 1997 to 2002.
