Vishalaxi Tandel has a diverse work experience spanning different companies and roles. In 2013, they worked as a Software Engineer at Toshiba Software India, where they focused on developing and maintaining the Device Layer of Toshiba Multi-functional Printers. They then joined Caterpillar Inc. in 2016 as a Graduate Student Intern, where they worked on sensor and wearable technologies to enhance worker safety in construction sites. At HeavyWater Inc., starting in 2017, Vishalaxi served as a Software Engineer on a platform called AIVA, which involved using machine learning and image processing on Amazon Web Services (AWS) to read and comprehend Mortgagee/Insurance documents. They later joined the Energy Resources Center in 2017 as a Research Assistant. Currently, Vishalaxi is working at Dark Matter Technologies as a Lead Software Engineer and Platform Architect.

Vishalaxi Tandel holds a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Chicago, which was obtained from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from B.V.Bhoomaraddi College of Engineering and Technology, completing their studies from 2009 to 2013. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2019. They also obtained the AWS Certified Developer - Associate certification from AWS in October 2018. Furthermore, they achieved proficiency in the Japanese Language, passing the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (N3) in 2014.
