Syed Farhan Athar has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Syed Farhan began their career in 1999 at Technovative Computers, where they worked as a Computer Hardware & Technical Support specialist until 2002. Syed Farhan then joined AA Cable Network as a Network Administrator or Network Support expert from 2002 to 2003.

In 2004, Syed joined Universal Cable Network as a Network Administrator, where they worked until 2005. Syed Farhan then moved on to Alt-Source Communication as a Call Center Representative from December 2006 to May 2007.

From July 2007 to July 2009, Syed worked at Standard Chartered Bank Pakistan Limited, specializing in Credit & Collections.

Syed then transitioned to a graphic design role at Hussain Marketing Network, starting in August 2010. Here, they utilized various design software like Adobe Photoshop, Freehand, CorelDraw, and Adobe Illustrator to create brochures, leaflets, file covers, envelopes, token receipts, and press ads.

In 2012, Syed joined Daraz, where they have held multiple positions. Syed Farhan initially served as a Graphic Designer from October 2012 to February 2017. Syed Farhan then progressed to the role of IT Executive from March 2017 to March 2020, actively engaging in IT procurement, network infrastructure management, and budget decision-making. Subsequently, they served as the IT Manager for Quality & Performance Management from April 2020 to June 2022.

Currently, Syed holds the position of Head - IT Purchase & Procurement at Daraz, starting from April 2022. No end date has been specified for this role.

Syed Farhan Athar's education history begins in 1996 when they attended White House Grammar School and studied Computer Science until 1999. Syed Farhan then went on to Govt. Jinnah College from 2002 to 2004 and pursued Pre-Engineering. In 2006, Athar enrolled at ILMA University (formerly IBT) where they studied Information Technology. Syed Farhan continued their education there until 2008, completing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Lastly, Athar attended Karachi University from 2008 to 2010, earning a Bachelor's in Commerce.

In addition to their educational achievements, Athar also obtained several certifications. In 2003, they acquired the CCNA, Exchange Server 2000, and Linux certifications from CTTC (Pvt) Ltd.
