Susmitha Appikatla is an experienced Senior Materials Engineer and Electrochemist at Daramic, LLC since April 2015, with a previous role as a Battery Development Engineer at ZBB Energy Corporation from October 2012 to April 2015. Susmitha also contributed to technology and innovation efforts at Johnson Controls briefly in mid-2012. A strong expert in traditional coating and mixing processes for lithium-ion batteries, investigations into alternative processes for cost reduction and safety improvements have been a key focus. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Materials Engineering from the University of Dayton (2009-2012) and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Koneru Lakshmaiah College of Engineering (2004-2008).
