Peter Van Giessel is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the energy and technology sectors. Currently serving on the Supervisory Board at Kongsberg Digital since June 2023 and as a Partner at Shell Ventures since February 2017, Peter focuses on investments in decarbonization and environmental solutions, including hydrogen and biofuels. In addition to these roles, Peter holds board positions at several companies such as Heaten AS, Daphne Technology, Strohm, GLX, Enhanced Drilling, and Akselos, the latter known for its advanced simulation technologies. Prior board member experience includes Rocsole Inc and a board observer role at Magseis ASA. Peter's academic credentials include an MBA from London Business School and a Master's in Mechanical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology, along with a Certificate in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors.
