Alex Ahrendtsen currently serves as a member of the board at Danmarks Nationalbank, appointed by the Folketinget since January 2023. As a Folketinget member since September 2011, Alex Ahrendtsen holds leadership roles in areas including EU, defense, education, and Arctic matters. Previous positions include chairing Odense Teater from January 2017 to December 2020, serving as a board member at Danske Taler and Danish Center for International Studies and Human Rights, and as deputy chair of VandCenter Syd. Alex Ahrendtsen also has experience as a publisher at Forlaget Lysias, and held various roles in Odense Kommune, including vice mayor. Educational qualifications include advanced studies in literature and international affairs from several universities, including the University of Southern Denmark and the University of Lausanne.
