Almas Muscatwalla

Director

Almas Muscatwalla is a dedicated board member of the Dallas Housing Authority and an experienced leader in community development and interfaith dialogue. They hold a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Master of Science in Child Development from Bombay University, graduating in 1989 and 1991, respectively. With over twenty years in teacher training, curriculum development, and human resource management, Almas is deeply committed to social justice and the empowerment of women through their role as President of the Board of Directors at the Texas Muslim Women’s Foundation. Almas currently serves on multiple boards, including the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum and Project Unity, while actively volunteering within the Ismaili Muslim Community and other organizations focused on promoting interfaith cooperation and community solidarity. Almas was appointed as a Commissioner to the Dallas Housing Authority in October 2022 and continues to address issues such as the migrant crisis and community education.
