Sarah Ellis is an experienced legal professional currently serving as an Assistant Public Defender for Dallas County since April 2018. Prior to this role, Sarah worked as an Assistant Criminal District Attorney at the Jasper County District Attorney's Office from March 2016 to April 2018. Sarah began legal career as a Law Clerk at the Law Office of Emilio E. Abeyta from September 2013 to March 2016, and gained practical experience as a Student Attorney at the Texas Tech University School of Law Criminal Defense Clinic from August 2014 to May 2015. Earlier internships include a position as a Legal Intern at Texas Regional Public Defenders for Capital Cases and an Intern at the Department of Homeland Security's Office of Internal Affairs.
