Katie Davies currently serves as the U.S. Editor at The Independent since January 2020. Previously, Katie held the position of Homepage Editor at MailOnline from December 2012 to August 2019, where editorial programming for the U.S. homepage was led. Earlier roles include Assistant News Editor at The Independent from February 2011 to December 2012 and Chief News Editor at Hampstead and Highgate Express from June 2008 to February 2011, during which Katie supervised a team of reporters and received the Editorial Person of the Year award in 2010. Katie Davies holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Political Science and Government from The London School of Economics and Political Science and a postgraduate diploma in Newspaper Journalism from City, University of London.
