Mario Garcia was appointed and later elected to Dade County Federal Credit Union’s Board of Directors. Before, he served on Dade County Federal’s Supervisory Committee for thirteen years as Secretary. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees for the American Museum of the Cuban Diaspora. Mr. Garcia graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and from Florida International University with a Master’s Degree of Science in Management. He was formerly an Adjunct Professor at Florida International University and St. Thomas University teaching in the Graduate School of Engineering and School of Business and Economics. Mr. Garcia is also a former member of the Dade County Public Schools System Citizen’s Advisory Committee. Mr. Garcia retired after 32 years of service with Miami Dade County Transit, where his last position was Chief, Planning and Development Division.
