Justin Vitale is an accomplished professional in the pharmaceutical industry with extensive experience in drug substance manufacturing and regulatory strategy. Currently serving as the Senior Director and Head of Drug Substance Manufacturing at Cytokinetics since November 2023, Justin previously held multiple senior roles at Denali Therapeutics from February 2019 to November 2023, including Senior Director and CMC Program Leader. Prior experiences include significant positions at Gilead Sciences, where Justin progressed from Research Scientist to Director of Drug Substance Regulatory Strategy between October 2008 and February 2019, and a Research Scientist role at Roche Palo Alto from December 2002 to October 2008. Justin holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry from UC Irvine and a BS in Chemistry from Trinity University.
