Starting in 2000, Will R. served as a right-handed pitcher for the Arizona Diamondbacks.
In 2005, they founded and became the CEO of MicroTransponder, a company focused on neurostimulation devices. Will successfully raised $22 million in funding and co-invented technology that received FDA PMA approval. Will held this position until 2012.
From 2012 to 2013, Will R. founded and served as CEO of Lexington Technology Group, LLC. Will secured $11 million in financing, acquired innovative technologies, and led efforts for FDA clinical approval.
In 2013, Will R. joined the Texas Biomedical Device Center as the Director of Commercialization. Will managed $16 million in foundation funding, facilitated partnerships, and secured significant funding from DARPA and the State of Texas for translational medicine development. Will worked in this role until 2015.
In 2016, Will R. became the co-founder, Chairman, and CEO of Nexeon MedSystems, Inc. Will completed five acquisitions, led the company to go public, and raised $17 million in funding from various sources. This position lasted until 2018.
In 2018, Will R. took on the role of President at CytoImmune Therapeutics. Will directed a 60-member team across various departments, strategized manufacturing and regulatory processes, and successfully raised over $100 million in funding. Will is currently still in this position.
In 2019, Will R. assumed the position of CEO and Director at Perimeter Medical Imaging AI. Will oversaw strategic efforts, raised $13 million in funding, and managed all aspects of the company's operations. Will held this position until 2020.
Will R. has a diverse and extensive education history. Will obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from The University of Dallas in 2000. Will went on to pursue multiple master's degrees, including an MBA in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies and a master's degree in Accounting and Finance from the Naveen Jindal School of Management at UT Dallas in 2001-2003. Additionally, they completed a Master of Science in Neurobiology and Neurosciences from The University of Texas at Dallas in 2005-2008, and a Master's degree in Biomathematics, Bioinformatics, and Computational Biology from the New Jersey Institute of Technology in 2005-2008. Will then attended the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University and obtained a Doctor of Law in Intellectual Property in 2003-2006. Will later pursued a Master of Science in Regulatory Science (FDA Law) from the University of Southern California in 2007-2009. Will R. also pursued further education in the form of a Master of Science in Nanotechnology from Rice University and a Doctor of Philosophy in Neuroscience from The University of Texas at Dallas, although these degrees were not conferred.
