Avisek Deyati, PhD, is a seasoned expert in bioinformatics and data science with extensive experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Currently serving as Lead Bioinformatics & Data Science at Cytiva since August 2024, Deyati is focused on developing next-generation Personalized Cancer Vaccines. Prior to this role, Deyati was Lead Scientist in Data Science at Notch Therapeutics, where oversight of a data science team guided the development of allogeneic CART cell therapy, including the creation of clinical benchmarks through analysis of multi-omics data. Deyati's earlier positions include Principal Investigator at Bristol-Myers Squibb, where strategic advancements in various fields were achieved, and significant contributions at GSK, including developing a Next-Generation Sequencing-based pipeline for viral contamination in vaccines. Deyati's academic qualifications include a PhD in Computational Life Sciences from the University of Bonn, an MSc in Bioinformatics from the University of Sussex, and a B.Tech in Biotechnology from West Bengal University of Technology, Kolkata.
