James Myers has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a Platoon Leader in the 18th Engineer Company of the US Army. James excelled in this role, leading a team of 30 professionals in engineer combat operations and managing millions of dollars worth of vehicles and equipment. After that, they served as an Executive Officer for the 14th Engineer Battalion, where they planned and coordinated heavy construction operations and was ranked as the top Executive Officer. James then took on the role of Plans Officer for the same battalion, developing training plans and scheduling personnel and resource obligations. Following this, James enrolled in the Army Captain ECCC program, graduating as the second academically best student in their class. Through this program, they gained expertise in advanced leadership and engineer concepts and successfully designed various facilities for a 2500 personnel Base Camp. James then became the Assistant Operations Officer for the 3d EN BN in Fort Hood, TX, where they planned, resourced, and supervised large-scale training exercises. James also implemented change control and knowledge management systems, improving project completion. Moving into the civilian sector, James worked for Shearer's Snacks as a Production Supervisor and Line Improvement Coach, focusing on improving safety, quality, and production throughput. James achieved significant productivity savings and developed waste reporting procedures that improved profitability. Most recently, James served as the VP of Operations at Cyrus O'Learys Pies.
James Myers attended the United States Military Academy at West Point from 2006 to 2010, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. In 2014, they attended the U.S. Army Engineer School - Maneuver Support Center of Excellence, where they pursued the U.S. Army Engineer Captain's Career Course. In 2015, they briefly studied at the Missouri University of Science and Technology, obtaining a Master's Degree in Engineering Management.
