Denis Bede is a Waste Management & Waste Legislation Specialist at Cyrkl. Denis has also worked as an environmental lawyer and legal compliance officer at the National Motorway Company and as an environmental law & nature protection specialist at the Ministry of Environment of the Slovak Republic. Denis has experience in preparing legal proposals and commenting on forthcoming legislation in the fields of endangered species protection, illegal wildlife trafficking and animal welfare. Denis has also helped with implementing obligations arising from the membership of Slovak Republic in Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), helped with implementing EU Wildlife Trade Regulations on national level and represented our country on expert meetings in Brussels and at the Conference of the Parties to the CITES Convention (CITES CoP).
Denis Bede has a PhD in administrative and environmental law from Trnavská univerzita v Trnave. Denis also has a master's degree in law from the same school. In addition, they have certification from the University System of Maryland in The Science Advisory Toolbox for Environmental Management, from the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science in Storytelling with Data using Socio-environmental Report Cards, and from the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science in Strategic Communication for Sustainability Leaders. Finally, they have a certification from DTU - Technical University of Denmark in Global Environmental Management.
