Judy Thomas has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. In 2017, they served as the Society Events Chair for The National Society of Leadership and Success, where they led the planning and organization of the organization's main events. In 2018, Judy interned as a Social Worker at Bristol Glen, gaining experience in client relationships, discharge meetings, and documentation. Judy also joined the business fraternity Alpha Kappa Psi, where they held multiple roles including Brother and Vice President of Brotherhood Membership. In 2019, Judy worked as an English Teacher at Qkids and completed an internship at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, providing support to patients with memory disorders and engaging in community outreach. In 2020, they interned as a Social Worker at the Tallahassee Senior Center, specializing in programs for seniors and grandparents raising grandchildren. In 2021, Judy served as a Public Policy Intern at Disability Rights Florida, where they engaged in disability advocacy and collaborated with organizational networks. Most recently, in 2022, they held the role of Director of Social Services at Briar Creek Health Center and is currently the Director of Social Services & Admissions at The Cypress of Charlotte.

Judy Thomas has a Master's degree in Social Work and a Master's degree in Public Administration from Florida State University, which they obtained from 2020 to 2021. Before pursuing their master's degrees, they also attended Florida State University from 2016 to 2020, although their specific degree is unknown. In addition to their education, Judy has obtained certifications from FEMA, including the FEMA Independent Study Course IS-244.b Developing and Managing Volunteers in July 2021 and the FEMA Independent Study Course IS-288.a The Role of Voluntary Organizations in Emergency Management in May 2021.
