Tom was appointed a consultant vascular surgeon in 2004. Specializing in minimally-invasive endovascular surgery, he established the complex aortic programme at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals in London and embarked on the research partnership with Graeme Penney that led to the founding of Cydar.
