Austin Gettel has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2012 when they worked as an I.T. Technician at Best Buy. At this role, they were able to boost department sales by educating teammates on presenting the value of services to clients, and consulted clients by listening to their technical problems. In 2015, they began working as a Credit Analyst at Citi, where they assessed customers' creditworthiness and educated them on their credit status. In 2019, they worked as a Customer Delivery Specialist at Dot Foods. In 2021, they worked as a Bakery Associate at Martin's Famous Pastry Shoppe, Inc. Currently, Austin is working at Randstad as an Information Technology Help Desk Analyst and at CyberNow Labs as a Security Operations Center Analyst. At CyberNow Labs, they are responsible for real-time monitoring of security events using SIEM alerts through Splunk ES and monitoring network traffic for security events. In addition, they are self-trained as a SOC Analyst on LetsDefend.io and has developed content for Azure Sentinel (SIEM). Finally, they are also working at Personal HomeLabs as a Security Analyst/Content Creator.

Austin Gettel is currently pursuing a Cybersecurity and Information Assurance degree from Western Governors University, which they are expected to complete in 2024. Austin has previously obtained a Certificate of Completion from the Franklin County Career and Technology Center in Information Technology. Additionally, they have a High School degree from the Mason-Dixon Homeschoolers Association in General Studies. Gettel has also obtained two certifications: Cyber Defense Core from Armis in October 2022, and CompTIA Security+ ce Certification from CompTIA in May 2022.
