Luana Vaetoe is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in nonprofit leadership and human resources. Since 2007, Luana has worked at Becoming Independent, becoming Chief Executive Officer in 2013 and significantly contributing to the organization's operational and program growth, including the launch of the "Passport to Independence" program for young adults with autism. Previously, Luana served as Agency Director, overseeing administrative and fiscal operations, and as a Director in the Human Resources department, where efforts were made to foster employee commitment. Early career experience at Safeway included participation in a prestigious Retail Leadership Development program, enhancing skills in leadership and strategic operations. Luana holds an Executive Masters in Business Administration from Sonoma State University and a Bachelor's Degree in Business/Corporate Communications from Southern New Hampshire University.
