Prior to her retirement in June 2019, Ms. Nelson was President and CEO of PTI Resources, LLC, an independent consulting firm, since 2005. Prior to this role, Ms. Nelson retired in 2005 from Edison International, where she had been President of Midwest Generation EME, LLC since 1999 and General Manager of Edison Mission Energy Americas since 2002. Her business responsibilities have included management of regulated and unregulated power operations and a large energy trading subsidiary as well as the construction and operation of power generation projects worldwide. She has had extensive experience in business negotiations, environmental policy matters and human resources. She has served as a director of Cummins Inc since 2004, Ball Corporation since 2006, TransAlta Corporation since 2014 and Sims Metal Management Limited since 2014. In December 2017, she retired as a director of CH2M Hill Companies Ltd., a privately-held company, where she had served as a director since 2010. She serves on the advisory committee of the Center for Executive Women at Northwestern University. In November 2012, Ms. Nelson was named to the 2012 National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) Directorship 100 in recognition of exemplary leadership in the boardroom and promoting the highest standards of corporate governance. Ms. Nelson is an NACD Board Fellow. Ms. Nelson received a Bachelor’s degree from Pepperdine University and a MBA from the University of Southern California.
