George Songu is an experienced professional specializing in business development and program management within the natural resource and agricultural sectors. Currently serving as a Business Development Specialist for the Cuso International YouLead Project since July 2017, George focuses on fostering green economy initiatives to create employment opportunities for youth. As the Executive Director of the Initiative for Leadership and Entrepreneurship Development (iLEAD) since July 2013, George provides strategic leadership, oversees program design and implementation, and mentors staff and volunteers. Previous roles include Capacity Development and Media Manager at Synergos, Chief Consulting Officer at Sesus Sky Services, and various Program Manager positions at FHI360, Pact, and Jireh Doo Foundation, where George led significant projects, built organizational capacities, and managed stakeholder relationships. George holds a B.Sc(ED) in Physics from Benue State University and has a strong commitment to advancing community development and health care initiatives.
