Tom Roe is a Principal Design Engineer at Curtiss-Wright Avionics & Electronics since April 2018, specializing in the development of data storage FPGA in VHDL on Xilinx Kintex Ultrascale Plus. Previous experience includes roles as a FPGA Contract Engineer at General Dynamics Mission Systems, where high-speed VHDL/Verilog FPGA designs were created, and as a technical lead at Fairchild Controls for FPGA development in motor control systems. Other positions held encompass high-speed digital and embedded power supply design at Elma Electronic Inc., embedded electronics development at Breeze-Eastern, and various engineering roles at ge aerospace, Smiths Aerospace, X-Rite, Allied Signal, and Lockheed Martin. Tom Roe holds a MSEE degree and a Bachelor's degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Syracuse University.
