Lara Gunderson, PhD, serves as a Senior User Researcher at Curative, where responsibility includes leading research to enhance patient and employer experiences with the newly developed health plan, which experienced significant growth in its first year. Focus is placed on increasing product accessibility for historically marginalized populations within the US healthcare system. Prior to this role, Lara worked as a Qualitative Research and Implementation Scientist at the Pacific Institute for Research and Evaluation, investigating the implementation of evidence-based practices to address health disparities. Additional experience includes roles as a Research Associate and Research Consultant, contributing to various research projects and mentoring new hires. Lara holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Cultural Anthropology from The University of New Mexico, along with a Master of Arts from the same institution and a Bachelor of Arts from Western Washington University.
