Helen Luo has worked in a variety of roles since 2008. Helen began their career as a Research Assistant at the California Institute of Technology, followed by a Research Assistant role at MIT Bioengineering in 2010. In 2011, they began working as a Research Assistant at MIT Chemical Engineering. In 2013, they held two positions simultaneously as a MIT Practice School Consultant at General Mills and Novartis. In 2016, they were a Research Investigator II at Bristol-Myers Squibb. Since 2018, they have held three positions at Culture Biosciences, including Staff Systems Engineer, Senior Systems Engineer II, and Senior Chemical Engineer.
Helen Luo obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemical Engineering from Caltech in 2011. Helen then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering Practice from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from 2011 to 2014. Finally, they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Chemical Engineering from MIT in 2016.
