Derrell Porter, M.D., currently serves as Chief Executive Officer at cTRL Therapeutics and holds board member positions at Acumen Pharmaceuticals, Portal Innovations, and Passage Bio, in addition to being an Advisory Committee Member at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Previously, Derrell founded and led Cellevolve, a cell therapy company, where significant achievements included securing FDA IND clearance for a treatment program. Derrell has extensive experience in commercial leadership roles at major pharmaceutical companies, including Gilead Sciences, AbbVie, and Atara Biotherapeutics, where strategic initiatives in various therapeutic areas were implemented. Educational credentials include an MD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, an MBA in Health Care Management from The Wharton School, and a BS in Psychobiology from UCLA.
