Heather Kourcklas serves as a member of the Board of Directors of CTIS. Heather is President of Golden Gait, LLC, where she has built a team that provides financial, accounting, and strategic planning services, and solutions for small to mid-size government contractors struggling to achieve or maintain FAR and DCAA compliance. In addition, she now offers her professional expertise through consulting, business reengineering and training services aimed at helping new and established businesses thrive.
Through over thirty years of professional accounting experience, Heather has cultivated a unique perspective in the industry. During her time in public accounting auditing non-profits and government contractors she developed a broad understanding of the benefits of a systematic approach to meeting federal rules and regulations. She has lead companies and startups of all sizes into improved efficiencies and automations, all while improving internal and external processes.
Heather’s ability to understand the dependencies of business is what allows her to creatively customize a plan unique to the needs of each client she serves. She does not just look at audits, but at the potential within a team, the efficiencies of processes, and individual needs of each company that comes to her.
Heather is also a Co-Founder and President of the Board of Directors of New Life Center for Thoroughbreds, a non-profit focused on the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of off-the-track Thoroughbred horses. In her spare time, Heather enjoys time at the barn with her own 2 horses, traveling with her husband, reading, writing, and staying fit and healthy.
