Bill Merritt is a seasoned professional in industrial development with extensive experience at CSX since July 2012, where Bill has held various leadership roles, including Director of Industrial Development and Director of Industrial Development - Site Design. Bill's responsibilities include leading teams focused on site selection, project management, and infrastructure design, ensuring effective communication between customers and internal departments to facilitate rail business growth. Prior to CSX, Bill served as Superintendent/Engineer at R. W. Summers Railroad Contractor, Inc., where responsibilities encompassed project management and track design. Bill holds a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of South Florida, and is currently pursuing an MBA at The University of Arizona Global Campus.
