Olufunmilayo (Funmi) Arogbokun Knutson, PhD, MPH, is an Assistant Professor and Instructor of Public Health at the University of St. Thomas since August 2022. Currently, Knutson serves as a Consultant and Coach for the Data Science Team Training Program at the Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists. Prior experience includes roles as a Research Assistant at Merck in the Oncology Division, a Data Science Contractor at Chan Zuckerberg Biohub, and a Graduate Research Assistant at UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health with a focus on birth defects. Additional positions held include Research Assistant at GSK and Special Volunteer at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, as well as multiple teaching assistant roles at UNC Gillings. Knutson earned a PhD in Epidemiology from UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, an MPH from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health, and a BS in Chemistry from Butler University.
