Rafael Romeu is a distinguished professional with extensive experience in economics and strategic consulting. Currently serving as a Senior Associate at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) since January 2024, Rafael has also been President and CEO of DevTech Systems, Inc. since 2014. In addition, Rafael holds a position as Visiting Faculty at American University, teaching advanced programming and analytics courses. Previously, Rafael worked as a Senior Economist at the International Monetary Fund from 2001 to 2014 and served as a Visiting Lecturer at Yale University for a short period in 2007. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Mathematics from Le Moyne College. Furthermore, Rafael gained international experience through a semester abroad at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México.
